  • Dr. Ahmad Hussein

    A three-time alumnus of Dalhousie University, Dr. Hussein is a Haligonian, who has lived in 8 countries across 4 continents and visited numerous countries. He is a true Bilingual (Arabic/English) and is married with two children. Dr. Hussein enjoys spending time with his family as well as meeting new people. He looks forward to serving all of your dental needs.

  • Dr. Ebrahim Kiani

    Dr. Kiani studied dentistry at the Shiraz University of Medical Science, graduating with his DDS in 2001. He also holds a Master’s degree in Endodontics, which he received in 2006 from the Shiraz University of Medical Science in Iran.After coming to Canada Dr. Kiani attended the Faculty of Dentistry at Dalhousie University and graduated with distinction. He maintains close ties with Dalhousie, where he teaches Endodontics. Dr Kiani owns 2 private practices in Iran, and came to Scotiadental after graduating from Dalhousie.

    Dr. Kiani has been recognized for his academic and professional achievements in dentistry. He holds several awards from Dalhousie and is the recipient of the American Association of Endodontics Award for exceptional skill in root canal therapy, the American Academy of Oral Medicine Award, and the Nova Scotia Dental Association Award.

    Outside the office, Dr. Kiani enjoys reading, running, and playing tennis. He and his wife have one daughter.

  • Dr. Mary-Anne MacDonald

    Mary-Anne, a native Haligonian and graduate of St .Mary’s University. In 2001, Mary-Anne received her Doctor of Dental Surgery from the University of Western Ontario. Mary-Anne and her husband Michael enjoy spending quality family time with their two children. She also enjoys practicing and teaching yoga in her free time.

  • Dr. Sathyasai Murty

    A true Haligonian, Dr. Murty was born, raised, and educated here in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She makes it her primary goal to put a smile on the face of each and every one of her patients.Dr. Murty graduated from Dalhousie University in 1999. She takes great pleasure in training future dentists as a Professor in the Faculty of Dentistry in the Division of Periodontology at her alma mater since 2001. She has a particular interest in periodontal treatments (gum therapy) and dental implants. In 2014, Dr. Murty received her fellowship from the International Congress of Oral Implantology (FICOI).

    Dr. Murty continually strives to keep abreast of current evidence-based treatments in dentistry by attending extensive courses from the world-renowned Kois Center, Misch Institute, and the Dawson Center. She has held a membership in the Academy of General Dentistry since 2000.

    With additional certification in both oral and nitrous sedation, Dr. Murty hopes to make treatment easier for those patients who are a little anxious or apprehensive. She and her team look forward to working with you to meet all of your dental needs.

    Dr. Murty lives in Halifax with her husband and two young sons. In their free time, they love to explore the great outdoors and our beautiful province.
