Dr. Zeeshan Sheikh is a Specialist at Scotia Dental in Halifax

Dr. Zeeshan Sheikh (Dip.Dh, BDS, MSc, M.Perio, PhD, FIADFE, FRCDC, Dip-ABP) is a board-certified periodontist and implant surgeon, and an Assistant Professor at Dalhousie University’s Faculty of Dentistry. He holds fellowship status with the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (RCDC) and is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology (ABP). He is also an adjunct professor at McGill University and University of Toronto. Dr. Sheikh is a clinician-scientist with advanced training in both clinical periodontics and biomaterials research. His academic work focuses on developing advanced biomaterials for bone regeneration and implant dentistry. In addition to his academic roles and international research collaborations, Dr. Sheikh has authored over 80 scientific publications and co-edited textbooks in oral biology and dental biomaterials. He is actively involved in teaching and continuing education, and enjoys providing patient-centered periodontal and implant care as a Periodontal Surgeon at Scotia Dental Associates in Halifax.
